By accessing or using LicenseGuard ("the Service"), operated by LicenseGuard ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LicenseGuard is a license tracking and compliance management platform that helps businesses track their professional licenses, permits, and certifications. The Service includes license renewal reminders, public record discovery, document storage, and compliance dashboards.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

LicenseGuard offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. The free plan allows tracking up to 2 licenses. The Pro plan ($10/month) includes unlimited licenses, document storage, auto-discovery, SMS reminders, and additional features.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are available within 7 days of initial payment.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service beyond its intended use
• Upload malicious content or files

6. Public Records Disclaimer

The license discovery feature searches publicly available government databases. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of public records data. You are responsible for verifying any discovered license information. LicenseGuard is not a substitute for legal or compliance advice.

7. Reminder Disclaimer

While we make every effort to send timely renewal reminders, we do not guarantee delivery of notifications. You remain solely responsible for renewing your licenses on time. LicenseGuard is not liable for any consequences of missed renewals, including fines, penalties, or business interruption.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the property of LicenseGuard and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data you provide.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LicenseGuard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or missed license renewals.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.
